Airport Transfers From Harrow — Fixed Fares to Every London Airport
New Century Cars runs fixed-fare airport transfers from Harrow and Northwest London to all six London airports. A taxi from Harrow to Heathrow costs from £31 and takes 25–35 minutes; Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, London City and Southend are all covered 24/7. Every fare is agreed before you travel — no meter, no surge, no midnight surcharge — and every airport pickup includes free flight tracking and 60 minutes of free waiting time. We've been doing this from our Rayners Lane base since 1972.
Below are fixed fares for a standard saloon (4 passengers, 2 large cases) from Harrow. Parking and tolls are included. Return fares from the airport include the drop-off/pickup charge each airport levies.
Fares shown are for a standard saloon. Estates, MPVs, executive cars, 6–8 seater minibuses and wheelchair accessible vehicles are quoted at booking. Last updated: July 2026.
Why the return fare is higher: every London airport charges a fee for vehicles entering the terminal forecourt to collect passengers. Heathrow's drop-off charge is £6 per vehicle. We include these charges in the quoted fare rather than adding them afterwards.
Three things go wrong with airport transfers. Here's exactly what we do about each.
Your flight lands early or late
We track every inbound flight by number. If you land 40 minutes early or two hours late, your driver's pickup time moves automatically. You don't need to call us, and the fare doesn't change.
You're held up at baggage reclaim or immigration
Airport pickups include 60 minutes of free waiting from touchdown [CONFIRM your actual policy — Blacklane offers 60 min, Addison Lee 30 min international / 15 domestic]. After that, waiting time is charged at [CONFIRM] per hour.
Your flight is cancelled
Call 020 8866 6666 any hour and we'll move or cancel the booking. Cancel before your driver is dispatched and there's nothing to pay.
For departures, we recommend leaving Harrow three hours before a long-haul departure and two hours before short-haul, plus journey time from the table above. Our operators will suggest a pickup time when you book if you'd rather not calculate it.
Arrivals
Meet & Greet at the Terminal
Standard arrivals pickups are curbside or at a designated waiting area. Meet & Greet puts your driver inside the terminal with a name board, ready to help with luggage — worth it if you're travelling with children, lots of bags, elderly relatives, or arriving somewhere unfamiliar. It carries a small additional charge, quoted at booking.
Meeting points at Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and London City are confirmed by text when your driver is assigned.
Heathrow (LHR) is the closest major airport to Harrow — roughly 10 miles, or 25–35 minutes by car outside peak hours. We cover all four passenger terminals (2, 3, 4 and 5), with fixed fares from £31 to T2/T3, £33 to T4 and £37 to T5.
The Piccadilly line reaches Heathrow from Harrow in 44–54 minutes with at least one change, which is fine with hand luggage and awkward with a family and four suitcases. A fixed-fare minicab is door-to-door in roughly half the time.
Gatwick (LGW) sits south of London, which means crossing the city or taking the M25 — journey time is typically 60–75 minutes and varies more with traffic than any other airport we serve. For early-morning Gatwick departures we'd normally recommend a pickup 15–20 minutes earlier than the maths suggests.
Gatwick has two terminals, North and South, connected by a shuttle. Tell us your terminal when booking and your driver takes you to the right one.
Stansted (STN) is northeast of London via the M11 — usually 60–80 minutes from Harrow. It's a single-terminal airport, which makes pickups straightforward, and it serves a heavy short-haul European schedule with a lot of very early departures. If you're on a 6am flight, we run 24 hours; there's always a car.
Luton (LTN) is the second-closest airport to Harrow after Heathrow — north via the M1, typically 35–45 minutes. Luton's terminal is compact, and the airport's own shuttle arrangements can add time to a public-transport journey, so the door-to-door gap versus a taxi is wider than the raw mileage suggests.
London City (LCY) is east of central London in the Docklands, serving mostly short-haul business routes. It's typically 50–70 minutes from Harrow depending on how you cross the city. LCY's 20-minute check-in cutoff is the tightest in the UK, which makes a reliable, tracked, fixed-time pickup more valuable here than anywhere else we go.
The honest answer: travelling alone with hand luggage at a sensible hour, the Tube is cheaper. Two or more people, real luggage, a 5am flight, or children in tow — a fixed-fare car is usually both faster and cheaper per head, and it removes the interchange risk.
Give us your flight number — this is what enables free tracking, so don't skip it

4
Get confirmation by text or email with driver details, and track the car on the day
Booking ahead is free and guarantees the vehicle type — worth doing for minibuses, wheelchair accessible cars and anything before 6am. Same-day and immediate airport runs are usually fine too; we're staffed 24 hours.
